The modem

the computer to send and receive information. Though broadband internet is
widely used in the current technological era, modems are the ancient devices

It converts
the digital data to analog and demodulates it when an analog signal is received
to a digital signal. Traditionally, a phone line was essential to install a
modem, but with the invention of modern devices, modems can be installed

modem:
It is
connected to the computer externally through a USB port. It comes within a box
that is easy to connect as there are no internal settings required.
Internal
modem:
Internal modems
are connected with the computer through the PCI slot, and the slot can be found
inside the desktop computer.
Onboard
modem:
It is a
non-removable kind of modem and comes in-built in the motherboard of the
computer.
